Anca Wilson came to Scotland from Romania with her fiance but wasn’t able to work until her visa came through. She decided to volunteer to improve her English, confidence and experience for when she was able to look for work. She volunteered in the office at Fife Women’s Network and left to take up paid work with Volunteer Centre Fife. She is now on her second job since leaving us 2 years ago!

Anca says, “I learned a lot of great new skills that helped me to find paid work. My confidence really improved as well as my English. It was really useful getting an up-to-date reference. I learned a lot through volunteering and I am now studying at college to further my career.”
