Volunteers recognised in award ceremony

The volunteers who help Volunteer Centre Fife and VONEF in reception and office duties were awarded with certificates to recognise their hard work and dedication.

In total they have accrued 42 years. Two volunteers, Guy Richardson and Heather Wisniewska, received certificates for 10 years of service to the two organisations. Some of the volunteers also help other charities, so they are able to use their skills in a variety of way.

Mary Ray, Co-ordinator of Volunteer Centre Fife based in Volunteer House, Cupar, said ‘Without the support of volunteers the services provided by the voluntary sector in Fife would grind to a halt. We have requests from community groups, playgroups and charities looking for a wide range of skills.
