The Volunteers Managers’ Network was set up in 2000 to bring together Managers from voluntary organisations and agencies. It meets on a regular basis and its aims include sharing experiences, highlighting issues relating to the management of volunteers and raising the profile of the sector and its work. Due to growing interest, the Network was rolled out across Fife in October 2003 with meetings in different areas to minimise time and travel for members. What is its purpose? The Way Forward? Three years after rolling out the Network Fife-wide, focus groups were held in the 3 local areas and questionnaires sent out to members to review how effective the network had been and how VC Fife could best support it.
