An Invitation
for Volunteering Involving Organisations
and Volunteers

Volunteering Outcomes – A National Dialogue

Volunteer Centre Fife would like to invite you to join in Scotland’s first ever `Volunteering Outcomes – A National Dialogue’.

The Dialogue is being organised by the Network of Volunteer Centres and Volunteer Development Scotland. Over the coming months a wide range of individuals and organisations will have the opportunity to discuss how volunteers make Scotland
a better place and to think about what needs to be done to keep that going
in the future.

The Dialogue will be based around the priorities of the national Government and Community Planning Partnerships.  As part of this national dialogue, Volunteer Centre Fife is hosting its first debate for Volunteer-Involving organisations on:

Wednesday 16 th July 2008, at the Kirkcaldy office at 10 St Brycedale Ave, Kirkcaldy, KY1 1ET, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Look out for the letter of invitation sent to your organisation or call 01592 645542 or email kirkcaldy@volunteeringfife.org for further details.

A second debate will take place at the same on Wednesday 23 rd July from 12noon – 4pm for individuals, existing volunteers or past volunteers. Please contact us if you know of a volunteer that would like to take part.

Lunch will be provided at both events.

Come and join us and others for a lively discussion!

Examples of current volunteering opportunities

WEST

FRONTLINE FIFE
We want to recruit a team of 2 - 3 people who enjoy cooking and who are willing to make lunch up to once a week for people experiencing homelessness, on a rota basis at the Gillespie Centre in central Dunfermline

CENTRAL

EQUAL VOICE IN CENTRAL FIFE
People with a learning disability are often isolated within society and do not have anyone to speak up for them. Citizen Advocates give freely of their time to support a person with a learning disability.

EAST

BTCV GREEN GYM
This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience in environmental conservation, meet new people, develop confidence through work and gain valuable experiences while enjoying the fresh air.
