Volunteering Agencies work with others to provide joint training for volunteers and organisations. Training is provided to public sector staff on volunteering issues and practices. Networking Volunteer Centre Fife supports networks of organisations who work with volunteers, particularly through the Volunteers Managers' Network Forum. These networks provide peer support, spread good practice and encourage co-operation. History Prior to April 2003, there were 3 volunteer centres and one development agency in Fife providing a range of services. Each organisation had established a successful record in offering training, community development and recruitment. In order to maximise the resources available and enhance the service, the organisations merged in 2003 to offer a Fife-wide service. Volunteer Centre Fife is a Company Limited by Guarantee, with charitable status and values, governed by a Board of Volunteer Directors.
