Charity Knitting Group

Following on from the brilliantly successful Knitathon held at Volunteer Centre Fife, Kirkcaldy in June, Loving Hands - a charity knitting and crocheting group, has been established. We did not want to see an end to the wonderful work that was done (and sadly the needs of the charities involved will not end simply because the Knitathon is over). Our plan is to hold monthly meetings at various venues and accept donations from members all over the UK.

If you would like to join us for a knit 'n' natter or have any leftover wool, needles or toy stuffing you would like to dontate, please get in touch. Don't worry ifyou cannot get to the meetings - we will happily come and collect completed work from you and drop off donated yarn to help with costs if needed. Postal members also welcome!

Our initial projects are going to be:-

The Baby Pack Project,
Burundi Bears,
Blythswood Care,
PreemiesUK,
Feed the Children,
Blankets for animal shelters,
and Boobs for Breastfeeding

All of these are very good charities. If you have suggestions for others we might help, do let us know
